Thea Jandzio is an experienced professional and Executive Manager in the health and human services industry. She has over twenty years of experience in the industry.
Thea Jandzio is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New York, and has a Certificate in Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Institute of New Jersey. Family therapy involves counseling members of the whole family to solve problems that are affecting the entire family unit. Many times it is an individual’s problem that is affecting the family, such as an addiction to drugs or alcohol, depression, or behavioral problems.
When there are problems with one family member, it can often be an indicator of larger problems within the family. Family therapy is solution-oriented. It also tends to be shorter in duration, and with more specific end goals.
Thea Jandzio is currently the Executive Program Director of Adult and Family Residential Services at the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services, which is the largest non-profit in New York City. Prior to that, she spent ten years managing homeless programs that worked with chronically homeless individuals in New York City.
